Supporting trailer from the hub
I'll be swapping out my Marathons in the next week or so and am looking for opinions on supporting the trailer by blocking up the hubs. I did a search here and didn't find anything specific, and I don't see a problem with it, but wanted to hear from you guys. Obviously I'm concerned about not damaging any components. I'll need to remove all the tires together and bring them down to the tire dealer for inspection as Goodyear is going to give me some credit toward the G614's. I would rather do the swap myself so I can grease the bearings at the same time. Besides, I'm concerned about anyone else jacking this thing up and the methods they may use. This particular place has a good reputation, but just the same, I won't be there when the work is done, more than likely. Getting back to my question, I know I can do it from the frame with cribbing but wanted to hear your opinions pro and con for blocking up under the hubs. Am I overlooking anything?
