Leaking Toilet
I have water leaking at bottom of my toilet. I'm not sure on how to go about trying to stop this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The first thing I would do is to check the rubber grommet where the water line comes into the toilet. Next, it could be the wax sealing ring inside the toilet.

Stiles is right. If it's not a leak from your incoming water line, you may have to pull the toilet to replace the wax seal under it. Just like at a stick and brick house.

I think it is the rubber grommet, I will have to see if I can get if off when I get to Tucson later on today. Thanks for the advice.

If it does not smell it is most likely a water leak. If is smells then you need to replace the rubber grommet that seals the toilet to the floor flange.

It does not smell and it is a small leak around the connections in the back of the toilet where the water comes in from the red PVC hose. The leak is around this nut that is attached to the toilet.

Had mine leak at the water in connection as well. The rubber seal inside the connecter that is attached to the pex tube is so-so in quality. I also had my Tetford toilet go wacky at a campground while we were away from the monty. This let many gallons of fresh water into the rv when the toilet overflowed continually. Had water coming out of the bottom when campground management shut off water for us...they left us a note which told us what to expect when we went inside later that day. Can you say totally wet carpet in the bedroom? Sure you can. Replaced the toilet with a better one, replaced the water regulator outside on the spiqot...and cut off the fitting on the pex tube and replaced it with a higher quality brass and plastic nut one that used a better rubber seal inside it. Now no water drips, waterfalls, etc. BUT I do turn off the water outside to the monty whenever we leave it to go anywhere now! John

WAX sealing ring ??? mine has never had one like my stick and brick toilet just a rubber flange/cone, no messy wax ring and never had a leaking problem as long as the flange nuts are tightened down snug, I have had my rubber grommets get old and tear in the incoming water line connection and leak

If it only drips for a minute or two after you flush, it is probably the flush valve.

First, I would tighten the bolts that anchor the toilet to the floor. This will pull the toilet down into the rubber ring that seals the toilet to the sewer pipe. We found that our toilet was loose.

We had the flooded bedroom scenario when the toilet did not shut off due to low water pressure from the campground we were staying in at the time....Thetford said their toilets are designed for 40 psi and up and anything less the valve may not close all the way....
I installed a brass ball valve at the toilet and we always turn off the water regardless if we are home or not....

All total it took about 20 minutes to do the job and cost about $20.

It is a rubber seal not a wax! I have never seen them fail unless the flange is broken or may need tightened.I replaced my toilet with a Dometic Plastic Base porcelain top. I had a leak between the two componets Dometic replaced
