Air Conditioner vents with dampers

Has anyone changed the vents for the ducted ac? The Crossroads Cruiser we traded for our Montana had dampers in the vents where we could shutoff the ac to parts of the trailer. I would like to do that in the bedroom and bathroom since we have the second ac that is not ducted so all the air from the ducted one goes to the living room and bunk room. I would also like to shutoff the bunkroom when the kids don't go with us. I've been searching on the internet and haven't found the ones with dampers.

That was one of many mods that Oz has made. You should be able to check it out on one of his albums, although I was just there and it didn't pop out at me.

Thanks. I had looked at the ones on the second link. I think I may try the 8850 ones. The outside dimension of the stock ones is 7" and the o.d. of the 8850 is 6-7/8" so it should work. I was hoping to find ones that just snapped on to replace the stock ones.

an easier solution. if your vents come off the same ductwork, which in most cases they do just get some foam rubber. You can cut it bigger then the duct and stuff it in after the next to the last vent before the BR. I used a piece of memory foam.

I think when you pull down you vents, you will find their depth to limit airflow. The ones on the first thread are shorter thus allowing more airflow. You can cut down your current ones and add the dampner but its just as cheap to get the assembly. GOT THIS INFORMATION FROM AN OZZ THREAD.
