Airflow dampers mod..dd..ed and done.

Had to go to Wally world, replaced Sue's place-mat, bought some more, they didn't have Rubber cement, so I went to Joanne's hobby store & bought a bottle, told the cashier I painted my fingernails with it, from the look she gave me, she just may have bought it.
Finished the job, installed them and shut off all downstairs outlets. The bedroom now has plenty of air coming from the 4 vents in there.
If we ever leave Northern Colorado, we may try out the A/C unit. Right now it is so cool and comfortable we don't need it.
The lying thermometer says it is 80 outside, feels like 70.
I do not want to ever leave this place.
The last two pictures are not fuzzy, it is your eyes...

Must be the new camera.

Funny how this works. I removed my glasses for reading and now the vents are in focus. I can't read the text but at least the modified vents look great in both the closed and opened positions.

Unlike you, I gave up the rubber cement on the fingernails because bits of napkins and paper towels I wiped my hands with, would stick to the nails and create quite a stir with the new look. While the possibilities and comments were endless they weren't exactly tasteful. The last straw was when I accidently touched my two thumbs together when the rubber cement was still too wet.

Good work Ozz. My wife would require me to buy the place mats FIRST. Your tireless energy sure makes me tired and retired.

Jim, we replaced ours with the ones Jayco uses. Some non-Jayco RV dealers carry them, too, like Lifestyles. They give 360 degree airflow and volume is controlled by rotating them up or down. We did this several years ago and it eliminated those hot and cold spots making the temperature much more even around the rig. At that time it cost us $5 per vent for the units and about 3 minutes per vent to install them. I bet you can get them through your rv supply business, too. But maybe yours is doing just fine with the mod you made.

I went with mine because they are directional, I can throw air one direction only if I wish.

Where did you get the dampered vents? Nevermind, found the other thread with link to Dyers.
