King pin lock
Does anyone lock their king pin when parked so someone can't back up to it and take off?

Always locked when hooked up and towing. We also lock it when in storage and most of the time when we are using it in a Campground.

We park and lock ours at the mini-storage as well as when we are camping. Here is what I use:
King Pin Lock
Bingo
on edit: I have discovered that it is a lot less painful (and usually doesn't draw blood) when your head comes in contact with the lock that I use rather than the king pin itself. This is definitely from experience!!

Only a small number in the storage facility where I keep mine have locks on them. And don't remember ever seeing one locked in a campground.

Bingo I have the same type and I also have another brand that uses a double sided key on my Gooseneck trailer. However as with any Locking device it will keep honest people honest. However I do believe that someone might notice a person or persons with a cutting torch cutting off a locking King pin device in most RV parks. GBY...

When in storage, ours is always locked with the same lock that Bingo uses.

I have a King Pin lock. As for storage? I keep it in the front cargo compartment.
I haven't used it since got the King Pin tripod that works great for stabilizing the front of the rig, but has a very chintzy piece of junk, joke-of-a-lock that is supposed to prevent spinning the tripod off the king pin. I also keep the rig at home with the King Pin tripod since we often open up the rig for various uses.
I would prefer to use the substantial King Pin lock that I bought the day I bought the Monty, but DW prefers the tripod we bought some months later when she wanted more stability. I keep the lock in case I put the Monty somewhere it might need more security, like the RV service area.

Simply put- If they want it, they will take it no matter what kind of locking device is attached. A locking device will only slow them down.

We use the same as Bingo, in storage and in the CGs. I figure that if they really, really want mine they will get it, but if mine is harder to get than most others, hopefully they'll go elsewhere. Hopefully not to yours.

We have a lock that is different than Bingo's but does the same thing. I have heard of a trailer being hooked up and towed off. I guess if someone really wanted the rig they could just grind through the lock or remove the whole hitch and put their own on it and be on their way.

Use the lock when in Storage. I know if they want it they will take it. But hope if they have to work at it a little bit they will move on to a easier target. There are plenty of trailers at the lot that are not locked.
