Happy-sad day

My step-mother reached 100 years of age on March 31 and died on April 21. She was a very fine lady of faith, dignity and grace all the way to the end of her days. We celebrated her life today. Funerals like this transcend the sadness.

Stiles,

Very sorry to hear about this, our prayers to the family, if only we could all be blessed with such a good long life and a wonderful step-son to celebrate it for us.

What a wonderful, long life, and better yet, to have a step-son who says his mother-in-law was a fine lady of faith, dignity, and grace to the end. If that can be said of me when I go, I will have gone happily!

Your family is in our prayers.

Robin and I send our thoughts and prayers. I know the loss is hurtful and her passing will leave a void that can not be filled. God bless and her memory will be with you always.

Please accept Bea and my sincerest condolences. When I read your post I spent a few moments thinking about what history she lived through. Her life spanned two world wars, and the rise and fall of communism in Russia and consumerism in the West. She has witnessed the automobile revolution, air travel and space travel. It would have been really nice to have met and talked to her. Your post reminds me I must spend more time with my father-in-law who turns 85 this year and write to my mother who is now 86.

So sorry to hear of your lost. We lost my mother 0n the 29th of april and we buried her today. We only had her for 87 years but they were good years for us. But we both know they are in good hands now.
