I'm back with 10th Ann.question

Hi all you Moc'ers! Missed you all, but am back on now.
Here is my question....
Does anyone have a connection who can answer whether or not the new 10th Anniversary features will be continued?
We are kind of interested, but would like to wait a year.
PS, I searched the forum and did not find this information except for speculation on Steve's part, I'm hoping someone might know someone...
Thanks Kim

Hi Kim,

Glad to see you back. Sorry I can't answer your question, but we agree that the 10th Anniversary models do have some nice enhancements. I can't really see them going back, but that's just my opinion and not really worth anything.

Our dealer told us that he thought the features on the 10TH A.E. would be continued to be produced, but I don't know if that was just his opinion or fact. I agree with John that I can't see Montana going back.

Or, with the way gas and diesel prices are going up, there will be an obvious impact on RV sales I would think, which would mean that you could wait a year for the rig you are looking at and Keystone will have their rebates out on the older models and you will get a great deal. Maybe optimism, but not a far-fetched idea. We got ours as an end of year deal and got a great deal on it.

We're in the same boat. I'd like to wait until we have had our rig five years, but it is a really nice unit. Hope someone has the "inside" scoup. I also can see sales going in the tank even further once diesel goes above $4/gallon. In China, it's about 6 U.S. for regular. So, we're still better off here.

I feel that once Montana introduces a new feature it will be a standard or at least an option well into the future. I know that's what Lorraine and I are counting on.

Kim and Steve -
Missed you on the forum and at the last rally. We are going to be down talking to our dealer about the tenth anniversary edition next Friday. If I find out anything, I will post. I was told they are making two Big Sky's per day.

Kim, I would vote to wait a year. Next year or even this fall I think you will be able to save a lot of money. I think next year you won't have any problem finding a 08 10th anniversary still on a dealers lot somewhere. With 4 and 5 dollar diesel it will become a buyer's market.

I just talked to Travis Kaiser our salesperson at the fabulous dealer RV Connections in Panama City, FL. He explained to me that in his opinion, they would continue with the new features. Since the plant is now all ramped up for those features, it would not make any sense, either by the company or the customers, to go backward. They have all the new parts ready to go into the next units. He offered to call the plant and talk to them, but said he knew that is what they would say. Travis has not steered us wrong and I have been in contact with him regarding new trailers so he's been keeping up with the scuttlebutt. He understands that I want the new features, but will probably not buy until next year, especially since I hate the brown Montana graphics. I can always hope they change again this coming year. If not I guess Steve will have to redesign the truck!

Kim -

Our dealer said the same thing - the 10th anniversary edition will continue into next year. We really like the Big Sky and if all goes well, we will look at a new one next spring. They sure are nice. The 365RQ looks like a great floor plan. Anxious to see one up close to see how it fits us.
