My house has appreciated probably 50% since we moved to Castle Rock 10 years ago, but in reality it means nothing, it's just like Monopoly money. In any case I've always loved GJ and I know the weather there is very nice, by the way "sleepy" would not factor into me not moving these days. My wife grew up in Salida and that sounds pretty good to me too, it's in the "banana belt" and the weather is always pretty nice.

Allen,

Moved to Boulder in 72 and grew up there in Gunbarrel. Don't even recognize that area anymore. Just finished some work in Los Alamos at the computer sites. Saw remnants of the old Cray systems on display, your era?

MAC,

I mean real sleepy - up at 5:30, lights out by 9:00.

David and Shirley,

Hope your folks are doing OK! Just read the CDOT report and Raton Pass is still closed, along with I-25 from Pueblo south. Our trip to Santa Fe is a no-go.

Thanks Brad-(my era)! Makes me sound like an old fossil. HA, I am!
Cray had just come into the lab a yr or so before I left.

If you could turn North for about 1/2 mi at the US36 overlook coming into Boulder, that's where we were. Great property (2ac & raised 1/4 horses for awhile (what a money pit that was)) but when we got out onto S Boulder road it was a zoo.

When you enter the "Sitting around the Campfire" area it says that anything deemed offensive by the administrator can be removed. Isn't snow, ice, cold and wind offensive?

Here in Michigan, we usually have been hit with a few good snow storms by now. But, we have had unseasonably warm temps this year. It's usually about this time of year I start questioning what the &%%$ I was thinking moving back after living 4 years in Florida...LOL But, it's warm this year cuz I got that new truck. This is my first time with a 4x4, and I'm chompin' at the bit to go play in a big ole parking lot when the first big snow hits. I've been saying that since I picked up the truck in November...LOL Ah well, it's bound to hit sometime, I just gotta be patient...:-) Jan

Jan,
The voice of experience here. Remember that the 4x4 will help you control better when you have your foot on the gas. When you hit the brake, it will slip and slide just like any other vehicle. We won't mention who took the side out of a Jeep Wrangler sliding into a light pole in a parking lot several years ago.

Anyone heard from the Reigle's? Maybe we should send out a search party.

The Reigle's are in Gulf Shores, AL. Vicki posted their location this morning. They're getting too much rain but otherwise doing fine from all reports.
