Boys, don't let the girls see this!!!!!

I picked up a Halogen track lighting set and removed the electronic transformer to run it off of 12 volts directly. Got a switch from Radio Shack and made a few modifications, and...............
Got rid of those glaring lights in the kitchen.
I'm installing remote control dimmers for the 120 Volt lights above our TV couch as well.
Here's pic's:

Hey, guys, aren't you suppose to be on vacation! LOL They look really nice. I noticed something in the picture you didn't tell us about. The rail on the little half round shelves at the end of the hanging kitchen cupboard. How did you get it to curve?
Happy trails......................

Hehe...there's no stopping Ozz...just don't show him the 12v rope lighting...

Nice job once again Ozz - pretty snazzy looking. Using your rig gives a person so many ideas.

Parrothead, we'll see what Ozz replies, but I made a similar shelf (really a three tiered spice rack for a corner). My "rail" was simply cut from flat material, then a decorative cut routed into the top on both the "inner" and "outer" edges. It looked more like something that was made straight, then curved rather than from a flat piece of material. Since mine was tiered, each step's rail was a smaller radius than the next lower one, so there wasn't a lot of wasted material.

Parrothead, (Susie-Q)
I take my hat off to VanMan, I, am not a carpenter. He is obviously in his element.
We bought the little shelf from a handy guy at Columbia, Missouri. We try to get a little something from all our stays. It just sits there.
We may end up over by you, this trip is open to variance. We would like to meet you guys as well.

Ozz, that looks sooo romantic! I'll never catch up with you - still trying to find the golf cart batteries which I think was 3,954 improvements ago on your rig!

Ozz, I'm already on the second page of neat things Ozz is doing to his 3400RL, and I don't even have mine yet! I thought you were on vacation? Some day I have to meet you.

Ozz,
Have you figured out a light under the bed yet? One that automatically turns on when lift it and turns the light out when you lower the bed down. Oops, sorry. Forgot you are supposed to be on Vacation!

Ozz, I got a call from the dealer, he thinks it will be here within a week. Mama cleaned out the 2955 and it's ready to go on the lot. We are kind of anxious.....does it show?

Tara, you are a troublemaker!
(Actually, I figured that you could take a under the hood truck or car light switch, wire it to a 12 volt light, mercury sliding to the end of the glass tube, closing the contacts.)
OR go to Radio Shack and get a off and on switch. You can have my Two kitchen lights I took off to install Sue's Halogen lights. Just come to Colorado and get 'em.
Pete, I am excited for you! Hard to sleep now, I bet.
Hang in there, buddy.

With all the changes,I was wondering how much does the 3400 weigh? Hopefully its not to heavy. Does it have MOR-RIDE? If not you might want to add grease able shackles to the axles. I have installed them on my last 4 trailers and like them.

Yes, Mickey, it has the Mor-Ride, and we haven't weighed it yet, I passed on one scale we came across, it was super narrow, and no room to come on it straight. We will find one when we leave here and I'll post the weights.
I bet she is heavy.

Pete, we have had the pleasure and I can tell you it is, indeed, a pleasure. Jim and Sue are super people we count as friends. Jim and Sue live about 20 miles from where we stay when visiting our kids and grandkids.

I have a 2006 chev 3500 Crew Cab Dually Duramax/Allison and a 2006 3400RL. I pulled it over a truck scale in TN. We were returning home after camphosting in VA for 2 1/2 months. The truck had a full fuel tank(34 Gallons) and 2/3 water. The gray tanks were empty The Monty was as full of clothes, food and equipment as "normal". The steering axle was 4600lbs...drive axle was 6360lbs...trailer axle was 11480lbs....total gross was 22440lbs. This works out to about the top for the 3400 which is 13975 and the truck at about 7200. Seems to be a sweet package. BTW...cost to weigh was $8.50. Well worth it for the knowledge.
