Sterling Highway in the Kenai

We flashed our lights at six Montanas on our way to Homer today. One flashed back. Was it you? We got a lot of waves though.

Bill, I am traveling with another Montana, we are in the area. Could have been us. I have flashed alot of Montana's. My unit has the front covered with plastic, with bikes mounted on the front. The other Montana has bikes also mounted in the front. I am driving a F350, he is driving a Duramax.

I installed a bug shield to keep from getting all the bugs on the front cap, that's all. So far it has lasted the trip from Ga. I have to put some new duct tape on places here and there. Just an ounce of prevention.

The process was crude and simple. Needs further planning and development for a semi-permanent application. I just got some 4 mil. clear plastic from Home Depot and some white duct tape, it works better and sticks better. Just taped it around the edges following the screw trim around the front cap. I put tape on top of the plastic to keep it from flapping and for added strength and support. It has survived so far. It is not for looks, but neither is the bug screen on truck, protection for the headlights, etc. I stll have a cracked windshield in four places.

Thanks David for the input and info. Bugs on that front cap are the worst! Al hates cleaning them! Yea, we know all the tricks, early morning dew, dryer sheets, etc. SIGHHH
