Just checked and the Carlisle tires are ST 235/85-16. The max weight load @ 80# is 3640, and it is "Load Range E".
My unit has 13,975 GVWR, Rich. Supposed to be a 2007 but apparently closer to a 2006. Caught in transition, I guess.

I think Dave is correct. Our 2007 3400 (I think the build date was Sept of 2006) had 6k axles. If I remember correctly the total weight was 14,000 or close. We only had a little under 2000 pounds cargo capacity on it.

They started the 7K/15,500 GVWR in Dec 2006 now that I recall. Don't know how I remembered that...

13,975 are 6k axles. However it is supposed to be a 2007 with 7K axles by Keystones own spec,s. I would be having a chat with them.
all this time I thought you had 7K axles as I was not happy that I had 6K axles and the 2007's had 7K axles so I thought.

Our new 2013 Montana has 10 inch frame, but the newer 2013 have a 12 inch frame.
Gee!
I guess I should call my rig a 2012 model to ease confusion.

You can crawl under the unit and read the tag on the axles however not to worry the 2010 has 7K axles.

I purchased my used 3400 from a retired truck driver. He had replaced the tires with G614. He said he wanted the best. I respected his opinion and was thrilled that I was getting new tires. Then I joined the forum and noticed how big of a deal it was to get the original "bombs" off these units. I am sure there are other heavy duty tires out there but the G614's are proven on 3400 models. Currently getting rid of original tires on my TV (General brand) and putting on 10-ply BF-Goodrich All Terrain. Didn't really want to spend $1,000 out-the-door but also didn't want a tire failure going down a busy interstate at 65mph either.

You might want to re-think those BF Goodrich A/T's. I had them on my work trucks - all S10's and loved them, but I put a set on our 3500 Silverado and I have been completely underwhelmed with the wear. On the S10's I could get between 50K and 60K out of a set. On the 3500, it doesn't look like I'll get 30K.

My Carlisles are ST rated to 65 mph. I do not drive over that so hopefully that should be OK.
