Question about Montana material
During our Thanksgiving show and tell to the family the sister in law broke the sliding mirror door latch in the master bedroom. I've looked high and low. Apparently not high enough or low enough. I found a universal latch from camping world but it leaves a 1/4 inch gap at the door opening. Is there a site we can go to to find OEM product like this latch? I've looked on line for an image of the latch but to no avil.
Don't want to have to use the universal, if I use them I'll have to drill and I review to (right now anyways).
Can anyone help? Thanks...

I'd contact the Factory... it's a very very commonly broken part.
I was up in Goshen this December and stopped by the Factory and they gave me 4 of them.

Same here, picked up some from Keystone service center. They recommended putting a rubber washer behind the latch on each screw when I screwed them back in. Since then I haven't had to replace a latch yet and that's been almost two years.

A CW that is a Montana dealer can order them and might even have them in stock.

During my PDI yesterday, I was told they are a commonly broken part, so should be easy to find.

I found at my local Montana dealer. Now I keep one in a drawer just in case.

I bought one at a Holiday Rambler dealer. Theirs was like a hard rubber version that was flexible. I doubt it will ever break and it works fine.

I bought replacements at CW. The real problem was the original installation was out of alignment with the door. So the clip was always stressed and then broke. So the new ones are aligned using new screw holes--result--no more broken clips.

Clear plastic mirrored door latches (CW # 49690) break all the time. There are better ones made of black (and perhaps brown) plastic that are much more flexible than the clear plastic ones and you have to work at it to break one of them. See http://www.rvpartscountry.com/Shower...DoorLatch.html

I made 2 latches for my SLM and after I did I discovered if you put 2 3/16 x 5\16 inch O rings between the latch and the wall it WILL solve the problem and make the door easier to open and the door will not open on its own.
