Brands Discontinued.....

Just for the Everest and Challenger owners just read on the Big board that Keystone will discontinue making the Everest and Challenger brand? But will be replaced by two other makes? I know the feeling we had a orphan brand. GBY....

I just read that on rv.net and the person said the two new names are Alpine & Avalanche. The person is a member of the everest owners club.

Well someone at Keystone, decided that maybe the Everest & Challenger wasn't selling to well. So with todays economy, we need to change, well less build a smaller and lighter 5th wheel. Small and lighter means the cost is less. People will say its smaller and lighter means I can use a smaller Truck. But who ask for this change? Sometimes change isn't good. I do feel for the Everest and Challenger owners, its not fun owning a discontinued 5th wheel. GBY...

We are not surprised. The Montana and the Everest were nearly the same unit and the Challeger was not far behind. They were both built on the same line so the change to a new model will be easy. My guess is a lighter and smaller unit. Keystone is thinking ahead.

The Montana/Everest and Mountaineer/Challanger questions are like Cadillac, Buick, Olds, Pontiac they are all virtually the same, so why not cut out some production lines.
