Mini Blinds?

Has anyone replaced their day/night shades with mini blinds? And if so, how do you like them compared to the shades? I expected there to be some discussion on this, but I did a search and came up empty.

We haven't replaced our day/night shades with minis, but I will tell you this, my other fifth wheel has minis and it is SOOOOOOO MUCH EASIER. The strings don't snap, the fabric doesn't pull out, and you don't have to fight with the darn things. Just twist a little wand. So simple. I've threatened to take these down and put up minis. We just had our dealer order 2 more day/night shades (since we are still under warranty) because 2 of ours broke and I mean broke. I'm all for minis, not a day/night shade fan.

The other plus to mini blinds is you can have the blinds down and turn them just a little....still have privacy and yet have some air flow coming in.

The down side is mini blinds will bend so easy. I make sure anyone who operates the mini blinds is very careful....I always give the 411 on the how to's with mini blinds.

My DW hates minis. The bang around while travelling (beat up the walls) and very hard to clean/keep clean. We have had no problems at all with our day/night shades...I keep the tension adjusted so they are easy to raise or lower.

We changed all of ours to mini's in our 3400RL, LOVE them. Day nights in the Montana were JUNK.
