Info Re: Frank's Voltage Booster?

At the Pomona RV show this last weekend, we met the inventer of the Voltage Booster. It is like the Hughes Autoformer, only a little different. Anybody have any experience with this? You can check out the website at www.voltagebooster.com
Trying to decide on what to purchase....

If you're talking about Frank's, I'm a little leery. I purchased a 50-amp voltage booster from him in 2002. It never worked right. I returned it for him to check and he said it was okay. I continued to try and use it but it still wouldn't boost and when it did, it boosted the voltage to over 130 volts. Didn't like that. The only way I could get recompense from him was to accept a 30-amp voltage booster in place of the 50-amp. The 30-amp never worked properly either.

I now have a Hughes 50-amp autoformer which performs just as advertised.

I may be the only one who ever had trouble with Frank's. Sometimes things are like that.

Have it and it's hard wired into my system next to the panel. What i like about it it has surge protector and boost all in one. Works fine no real issues. When I first hooked it up sometimes when power overload came into play the booster would kick out high boost side. Took me a while to figure it out but did with MOC members help. turned out that both microwave, AC and front AC were all on same 50amp side of my panel. RV 50amps is really two seperate 50amp sides to you panel. Every other breaker is on different side or opposite sides of the 50amp power side. broke apart those on same 50amp and not had anymore problems.
