Level Up Foot Pad

I have a 2018 3790RD and need to replace two of the level up 9" foot pads. Question is do I need to some how hold the leg to remove the screw and again when I tighten the bolt with the new foot pad? Thanks.

I had a bolt back out of one of our jacks many years ago, and I just took a box end wrench on the bolt and tapped the end of the wrench with a hammer several hits so the bolt was being tightened, and the bolts have never come loose again. You could also use Locktight on the threads before crewing the bolt back in, but use the type of Locktight that can be removed. When I tightened the bolts, I did not put a wrench on the rams, so they were not damaged.

an impact wrench will remove the pad bolt with no issues... also Lippert recommends to hold the piston and keep it from rotating during replacement of a foot pad... this keeps the internal wear pattern on the seals undisturbed... Id guess...
