I used a signal generator and can trace the wire from the dead outlet through the ceiling and to the area of the circuit breakers but the wire doesn't terminate at the breaker box it continues towards the refrigerator in the wall. I can get no signal at any of the wires entering the breaker box. It is as though there is an inline breaker but I find this unlikely that an inline breaker would be buried in the circuit. Would you have any ideas for me? Thanks, Steve
Do you have a 2nd fireplace? Only one can be on at a time, turn off the second and then you will be able to turn on the first.

Did you check for anything like this? I have a 50 amp service and 2 A/C's and I have to choose between the microwave or the fireplace. The switch is a 3 way light switch and is right net to the microwave.
