Clothing hooks in bedroom and plexi on door

This has been done before and shown on the MOC, but we can't remember where. Our thanks to the previous members' pictures for the inspirations. If you follow the link below, you'll see some pix of the mods.

The pewter dragonfly hooks, the embossed wood pieces behind them and the window clips are from Lowes. Kathy stained the wood pieces. The 1/8" plexi was bought from Laird Signs in Iron Bridge, Ontario, who cut it to fit for us. The clips are knurled and can be easily loosened off and swung down to remove the plexi panels as desired. To install the clips, I drilled a pilot hole, then a hole smaller than the threads (yeah, I know you know how to do this), then used a self-tapping screw, with identical thread and a Robertson (square) socket head, over and over to thread all of the holes. The edge of the middle pane, closest to the latch, is retained by a strip of 3/16" neoprene weatherstrip tape with the sticky side on the plexi.

We had the inspiration of leaving the paper backing on the bottom piece of plexi to prevent our fierce beasts from seeing out and causing ruckuses (ruckii?). We may take the paper off since BooBoo now stands on his hind legs and puts his paws in the latch hole to looks out...one day, when he's confined to quarters, he'll depress the latch and be off.

Then, Kathy had the bright idea to put the peeled-off plexi paper on the back of the plastic glazing of the Monty cabinets to hide the contents - another MOC idea.

You'll notice that we super-sized the fire extinguisher. It has been better secured since these pictures were taken. The original is now mounted in the bedroom below the escape window.

We love the dragonfly hooks--you did a beautiful job on the installation, too. The embossed wooden pieces beind them are absolutely perfect!
