Dear MOC guides, how bout 20???

OK, as we work on the Bryce/Zion portion of this tour we are on, we are looking at the maps, and the question this time is- - - -

Route 20 runs between 89 and I 15. Are there any nasty surprises on Route 20 if you are TOWING???

Sure is comforting to come to our MOC friends and ask all these questions.

As I have said before, and will say again

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HINTS!!

Carol,
No surprises. It is basically up and down. You do get up to about 10K feet so take some oxygen. The road is a bit windy on the west side and less so on the east side. But we pulled the Monty up and down with no problem. We did lose our brakes at the top of the mountain but made it down with just some very hot brakes.

Hwy 20 is a decent 2 lane road. If you have time check out the National Monument --- Cedar Breaks at the top of the mountain. We did not have time but will stop the next time we are over that direction. Enjoy. Dennis

As noted, it's good road and a pretty drive. We towed it and also took it solo. It won't be a problem for you or big butt.

The prettiest route, though, is 14, but that would be a tougher tow. We took that one solo and decided to tow on 20 even though it's farther from our point A to point B. There was snow on 14 at the time.

By the way, Carol, when you turn onto 20 from 89 you'll be just about 15 miles south of Butch Cassidy's boyhood home/farm. No signs on the road but folks in Circleville will tell you where it is. I think I emailed you that info and pictures awhile back.
