Question Ceiling Fan slow

Well I have a question about our 2021 3781RL ceiling fan that has never really worked right from the day we bought our Montana. It just will not spin very fast on its highest setting. The dealer said for me to bring it by the shop and leave it and they could get to it in about 3 weeks. I just couldn't understand why it would have to sit in the lot for 3 weeks just to have a technician turn it on and say, "yep that is a slow fan". One of the fellows told me it might be the switch. I think it might be the fan because with no power applied, the fan doesn't feel right when I spin it by hand. It doesn't spin free. Has anyone else had a slow fan problem? Oh one more thing, the battery to the rig is fully charged. Thanks

Replace it with one from Home Depot or Lowes. It is a standard 120 Volt AC house fan. Very simple DIY project and much less than having a service man do it.

If it is a 12 volt fan, it may have a bad connection which would cause low voltage which might be the cause of a slow fan. You probably should check voltage at the switch that controls the fan and also at the fan itself. If voltage is good, here is a link to the fans that Trekwood shows that were likely installed in the 2021 rigs. You will not find 12 volt fans in any big box stores. https://www.trekwood.com/parts-searc...23+%2F+Keyword

I just googled for 12 volt RV ceiling fan and lots of options come up, even some on Amazon, so if trekwood looks too expensive keep searching.

I'm on my second fan and switch kit. Ours worked great for a week, then got slow. I took it apart and tested connections, all of which were showing the proper 12v. Sometimes it speeds up, slows down, stops. I went with the trekwood one. Next time, I will just be putting in something I find at home depot, because the OEM replacement is just as bad as the first.
