Alaska Live Bears Fishing Web Cam
For all you potential Alaska travelers and the rest of us, here is a great website only turned on for a couple of weeks a year of bears fishing for Salmon. As an ex Alaskan (18 years) I still enjoy these type of pictures. Enjoy!!

When viewing, you can also watch other locations by using the small 9 square box in the lower right corner and clicking on it to find other camera's.

Thank you! Would that be salmon night at the bear's Golden Corral?

Thanks for the link.... Watched it for about 5 minutes at 10:15 PT. I forgot how bright things still were in Alaska even late in the evening this time of year. I saw as many as five different bears waiting in the water then I saw two different bears catch two different salmon... Awesome!
And that was that!

Here are a couple of pictures I took on the Kenai Peninsula 3 years ago. The sow in both pictures had three cubs. There were a lot of bears around but I could always pick her out because of her limp right ear. I took around 700 pictures and some video at this location.
Feeding one of the cubs.
Now for some of that rich milk.

Ed, I watched a sow and her 3 cubs last night for about 30 minutes on the cam. Much better than watching CSI or ??? on TV. She didn't catch anything though, hope she has better luck today.

ranch560 you are so right, we have 2 or 3 hundred channels on our Satellite and seldom is there anything worth watching. This camera at Brooks Falls has been around for quite some time now, there does not appear to be a lot of fish in the river at this time, I have seen this camera when fish were constantly being caught and every second there was one or more attempting the leap over the falls. Might not be the peak of the run yet.
There is nothing like sitting on the shore of the river 50' away from a huge grizzly, they seem to pretty much ignore you as long as you keep your distance and are quiet and respectful of their space. I sat there for well over 4 hours and did not want to leave even then.
Here is a picture I took of a very large Black bear while hiking a few miles from home last Friday. I always carry bear spray when hiking the trails in our local mountains, we went our separate ways without incident.

BTW - that internet camera is probably safer too!
GREAT pictures Irlpguy!
Love DAH BEARS... spent another 10 minutes... as many as TEN bears and a new fight as one bear got to another's hunting spot in the river... A bit o' gnashing of teeth and wide open mouths to show off their sharp pearly whites, then the offending bear slid around the defending bear and moved away slowly. One more and it's a football team.
SO COOL! Got something to show the grandkids next time they are here. They love it when Grandpa shows them new things every time they come over. They expect it now. I've got enough stuff to last a couple years, then I'm doomed.
