Just rinse with a hose once a year. Check for damage and repair as needed. The roof is basically maintenance free.

Dawn dish soap and medium stiff bristle brush. Have someone rinse off the sides of your Montana though while hosing the soap off the roof because Dawn will take off any wax you may have applied to your sidewalls to keep them looking nice

Roof wash

I also did a test of two options: Simple Green and Chemical Guys Citrus Car Wash. Both performed equally well but Simple Green is cheaper and as long as you rinse well you should have minimal issues with removal of wax from the sides. DO NOT USE A STIFF BRUSH. While the membrane is tough, it is not required to remove any dirt. I used a soft bristle brush and it looked new once cleaned. If you are looking to remove black streaks, there is a product specifically for this application: STAR BRIGHT BLACK STREAK REMOVER. It works well. Hope this helps.

I just watched a video on this the other day. A test was done with simple green, dawn soap and a roof wash. Simple green won out. The way it was done is wet the roof spray a mix of water n simple green on the roof allow to set a short time. Scrub with a soft brush and then rinse. Came out looking nice. Also with simple green it doesn’t remove the wax on the side of the camper.

How is it that SG won't remove wax?

Rather than even worrying about the cleaner removing the wax, use something that states on the label it will not take the wax off.

When I get black streaks on the sides of the slides, I found that original WD-40 will remove them very easily. Just spray WD-40 on a rag and wipe off the black streaks that appear on the slides from the wiper seals.
Never tried it on the roof membrane though.

WD-40 is a petroleum based product and may damage a TPO roof. It may dissolve rubber seals completely…so says google!

Robert - you are always up early like me and I see your posts. I don’t do it by choice however…my two dogs demand breakfast between 4:30 - 5:00 am. They won’t take NO for an answer.

Always been an early riser. I like to have coffee before I start work around 7:00 AM. Sometimes that's the only way to get any peace and quiet as I'm the only one up.
