Indianapolis to Elkhart

Has anyone travel US Hwy 31 from Indy to Elkhart lately? May try this route coming to the National Rally. Memphis to Effingham to Indianapolis to Efkhart. Alittle longer but relatives in Effingham. Suggestion?

Haven't done it lately, but that's the way we used to go.

We did that route last september, had some constuction just north of Indianapolis but wasn't bad.
Plan to come the same route this year, because we are stoping in Paducah Kentucky at the National quilt museum the week before.

Also I prefer to avoid the Chicago area....

That is the way we go to the fall rally each year.

We came up that way just about four days ago and had no problems. We were in our car but would have had no problems if we had been towing the Monte!

Us31 is now 4 lanes and 31 goes around Kokomo and it also is 4 lanes limited access from hwy 6 to hwy 20.
