New to forum

Hello,

My wife and I have a 2019 3855BR that we bought new and were full-timing for about 1 1/2 years until Covid happened. I am retired USMC but still work in SoCal. We haven't had any real major issues besides a slideout recall and the shade pull down bars keep coming off. Now we just are using it recreationally. We pull with a 2012 F350 CC 4X4

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your service.
You will find lots of help here. For the shade problem - do some searches and read what others have done. I “fixed” my large rear window falling out of the brackets during travel by inserting styrofoam blocks on each end to prevent them from spreading. Probably a better solution is to add more support brackets on the long span. You should call Irvine Shade and Door and tell them about your issues. They have been very helpful to lots of folks. They sent me some new “blinds guts” free to fix one of my issues.

Glad to be here, hopefully some of the newbee questions can be answered. Migrated from a Northern Lite camper to the 20th edition Montana 3854BR19. Finding limited information in the manual about the location of things and how they operate such as the dump valve for the black tank is only inside the control panel for water management, not in the typical discharge piping at the discharge such is the case in so many videos. Looking forward to our first trip. Planning on retirement in the near future. Going to become a snowbird couple or full time depending on what comes our way.

Welcome.

Blinds, by Irving Shade and Door (ISD).
Pull bar falls off.
Go to Michaels (the craft store). Buy a package of the smallest dowel rods they have (3/16" I think).
Remove the pull bar end cap. Fold the end of the blind material over 1/4" and staple it.
Slide the blind material into the bar.
Slide the dowel rod into the bar to lock it in place.
Re-install the end cap. You can go to their website to download instructions for adjusting them
http://www.irvineshadeanddoor.com/wp...adjustment.pdf

Hope this helps.

Happy trails

S.V.C of an American Legion local post. Thank you sincerely for your service. Welcome to the Montanaowners group family.
I'm still working and a weekend camper prior to covid.
Any Questions you may have ask away. IT is what makes this forum awesome.

Along with sitting by the campfire section.

Welcome
