Pullrite Superglide Bent
The locking mechanism on my Superglide 16k is bent and loose. It locks when closed but will not lock to keep it open. No idea if I can get parts for it.
We have had a few issues with our trailer in the past and my wife is gun shy. She wants a new hitch. Is there something that works as well as the Pullrite, and is less expensive. I have a short box truck.

You can get any parts needed directly from Pullrite. Here is their website and there is contact information on it. They are very helpful and will make sure you get the repair parts you need. https://pullrite.com/about

You can always find them on the internet, ie, craigslist for a lot less...

I would call Pullrite customer service. Probably a simple fix.

I have gotten the plastic slider parts, the whole big part that swivels from them. As others said, they are very helpful when on the phone.
A little story here - I got a new truck in 2012 and put on the hitch. Then bought a new trailer in 2014. I paid the dealer to put on the hitch plate on the trailer. It didn't seem quite right but worked, sort of. Went to the rally a few weeks later and stopped by the Pullrite headquarters. They gave me a new hitch plate - FOR FREE. While I waited for them to drive to warehouse and get it, an old guy comes out and chats. He was the owner that started the company! He is retired but likes to talk to customers. We chatted for almost an hour I think He had some good stories! LOL

That may have been the same year I met him. His name was Mr Pulliam and he drove a mustard yellow small Chev (what I call a Mickey Mouse pick up). He designed the auto slide hitch which I had at the time. He was very talkative and very interesting.

Agree with everyone to contact PullRight, I found them helpful. It sounds like the trip lever/catch is bent and has slid down on its post, that keeps it from catching open. It’s a simple fix, you will likely need a new lever and a new lock washer, available through pullright. To keep this from happening to me again I drilled a hole below the lock clip and used a cotter pin, no more problems. Good luck.
