Earthquake

SE of San Antonio had an earthquake 4.5. Have any of our members feel the shaking? Or was it a fifth wheel driving on wonderful roads?

9:30 pm…too late for us…we were in bed and did not feel a thing. Evidently it’s a very rare thing.

It looks to be along the Luling fault zone and a few other small quakes have been noted in the area in the past 150 years (first & second image). It’s located in the Eagle Ford Shale oil fields (2nd image).

Some day, the New Madrid fault (boot heel of Missouri North of Memphis) will go off... again.
I hope I'm not around when it does. We live 120 miles away.

Not uncommon in the west and northwest areas of Texas, especially around the oil and gas fields where fracking is common. Not so much in east and south Texas.

Earthquake

There is a weather app for your cell phone and windows that will show where the quakes were and how big (MyRadar). It also shows a lot more. I use the free verision.
