Storage photos

Anyone have pictures they could share showing how you have used basement area for storage? Interested in hanging some things in new 3150RL, not sure what to use for hangers or whether to drill screws, etc. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Here are four pics.
I used short drywall screws to hang brackets. They need no pilot hole and if removed you can ruffle up the felt over the hole to blend in.

Wall brackets were fabricated in my shop to hold individual items.

I have some, just go to the link in my signature and scroll down to mods. I have 48 photo's in that category. It's a shutterfly link.

I am currently using some stack able Rubbermaid tubs. I feel that there is a lot of wasted space. I am thinking of building some cabinets/shelves. Still thinking about what would be the best. It will have to be a winter project once it has cooled off some.

Mike, those look like industrial sized bottles of Pepto Bismo in your first picture!!! I'll make sure my wife doesn't see those pics as I will be doing mods to the trailer instead of playing with my cars in the garage!!!

My storage area isnt quite as orgainzed as above, but I made some velcro fishing rod holders recently. I use the rubbermade tubs for everything else.

You can read my little write up about it here. http://5thwheeladventures.com/velcroholders.html

The only problem I see from all your photos is that you ALL have the deep basements and my '04 2980 has the step up basement and is not near as deep or has a wholelot more pipes showing and hanging from the top and sides! It's not that easy to modify ours. I did add a closet shelf(the wire ones)on both sides and added about 6-8 inches of storage space on the main level on each side! Nice but still not the space you all have with your dropped frame unit!

I have a 06 2980 and agree with Rondo. Also, the rest of you guys make me sick! Way too organized and neat!
I just throw my stuff under there and pray!

Thought I would add my recent basement mods. Half the fun is seeing what others have done and incorporating their ides with your own. Keep the ideas coming.

Nice photos and ideas! Enjoy looking at them. I’ve been thinking as to what I can do to help organize our basement as well. Keep the photos coming!

From what I can tell you folks don't have near enough "STUFF" in your basements. I'm with rondo I made shelfs on both sides of mine and it helped alittle. Tom I organize the same way you do and it works great for me untill I need something out of the middle LOL. BTW Dw has been collecting "ROCKS" on this trip from every state Just what I needed To haul LOL.

I would post a photo since the OP asked how we use the basement area for storage, but I'm sure he is seeking some sort of organizational ideas as have been posted. My picture would probably resemble Twindmans's, perhaps I should call it "organized chaos??" At least I know where everything is at, finding it is another issue. I must resolve myself to merely take pride in the fact that I keep the area in front of the mini-fridge relatively free of debris. Gotta have access to the fridge for the cold sodas!! Sorry I couldn't help more!!

Unfortunately I don't have the photos of the slide out tray I had in my 3075 with the raised floor. If you search on the internet or go to MoreRyde I'm sure you can find a slide out tray the will be just the right size.

Look out Bobby! I think I remember Lucy collecting a lot of her favorite rocks as well in the movie, "The Long, Long, Trailer". Things didn't work out too well for them on down the road!!! LOL! D

That movie is probably what inspired her
to start collecting the rocks for each state!

If I was to post pictures on here of my basement I would be embarrassed beyond belief!! I have three times more stuff in mine than any of you!! I use big tubs for much of it, but lots won't fit in big tubs. Mayhaps I need to change my life style...
