Quick question: Never used dryer sheets, do you wet them, use wet with soap and water. Tell me how a person uses these and still protect your paint. Thanks much!

Well, I cannot answer that, but maybe someone will. I used dryer sheets that I dipped in soapy water first and they worked great. You can feel the bugs as your are scrubbing, so when they are all gone you have a smooth feeling with the sheet.

Lynnwood,

I tried the purple power today and it works! It removed all of the bugs without any extra effort on my part. (I like that) The only thing was, it also took of the reflective material on the pin backup mirror. Good thing I didn't use it anyway. The whole RV is very clean and shiny now! Does anyone know of a product that I can use for maintaining the factory finish? Thanks to all that have helped me on this site. I have everything fixed except the jack I bent and parts are on the way!

CITRIX43, You use the dryer sheets wet. I have used new and used and it makes no difference. I use a wash solution of Blue Dawn and water and the dryer sheets on the front cap and then use just the Blue Dawn and water to wash the rest of the unit. Besides removing the bugs easily the dryer sheets leave a thin coating on the front cap that makes it easier to remove the bugs the next washing. Just do a small section at a time and rinse it right away after washing with the dryer sheet. If you don't get all the bugs off with the first washing of the section use it again and it will remove them. I have also put them on a soft brush with an extending handle and I don't even have to use a ladder to reach the top of the front cap.
