Getting Settled

As you are probably aware the D/W/ and I purchased our dream home this past April. After living for 31 years and raising our kids in our previous home we found the house literally of our dreams only about 3 miles from where we lived. We definitely feel like its home and with the Monty parked out back it even ads to the great feeling that we are settled in.

Not long ago we installed a 50 amp service and most recently a dump station for the sewer. This was installed just in time because we have some friends from Tennessee that will be visiting with us for a few days in November. Everything so far is working out great and if the D/W gets mad at me well all I can say is what a nice dog house!

Monty's do double well as guest houses. Glad things you've found that dream house.

Congrats on being settled into your new home. You may have a nice dog house but recently we had some septic system issues at our stick house and our Monty became a very expensive outhouse for a few days.

Bill when I was a little boy I could look through the fence around our home across the hay field up on a little knoll and I knew where I wonted my home when I grew up. I wonted a small house with vertical unpainted wood siding and that was way before unpainted siding was popular. I built that house 37 years ago. I did make one change, I set it back in the woods about 100 feet. I know how you feel, ENJOY the feeling will not go away.

I built it my self for $20,000. I hope yours didn't cost much more than that. Again enjoy!
