Air Conditioner Shuts Off

In our 2001 323RL our main air conditioner unit in the living room just shuts off for a couple seconds then turns back on all by itself. The fan stops blowing and there is no noise coming from the unit itself. It's like you turn a swithch off and then back on a couple seconds later.

Any idea why is would be doing this? The air is cold and we haven't had any other problems with the unit.

If you have the thermostat fan set to auto this sometimes happens. Try setting the fan to low or high to see if this resolves the problem.

Both of our units seem to do that as well. My theory is that this is how they are designed to work with each other. Zone 1 runs in high while zone 2 runs in low, shut off and move to low when zone 2 runs in high, etc. Just a guess, but it does seem to follow with my observations.

My rear a.c. for living room has done this since new. It is still working and we fulltime and use them 24/7/365.

I have the 2020 3931FB Montana and our air will do that if we drop the thermostat to 74 degrees or lower. At 75 degrees and above it doesn't happen on auto.
