Cable coax routing
Spent two hours this morning with a wonderful spectrum tech.
The issue we're having in ou 15 3750fl is intermittent issues with the internet and pour TV picture occasionally.
After two hours of chasing coax looking for the splitter that feeds the cable TV, to see if the splitter connections where tight.
Well we never found the splitter and was hoping one of y'all might know where they put that joker.

I found one behind the fireplace. It was brand new and didn't work.

Hmmm...unfortunately I need to go on a splitter hunt in my unit. I have good antenna reception and good cable TV signal - but the splitters render my Dish tailgater useless when connecting to the house cable. I run a direct cable thru the window to the back of my black box (Dish VIP211z). The sketch below shows where I have found splitters...but since the TVs work well with park cable and antenna - I intend to run a direct separate cable for my Dish tailgater. My first attempt to do this failed due to access for my planned path. The job is still on my to-do list.
Splitter "A" is behind the convienience center.
Splitters "B" are behind each TV in the junction box in the wall - and I have 3 TVs.
By the way - the pic of splitter B is not mine - I could not find the pics - but they are something like this.

Thanks Montana man
But we checked the one there and actually isolated the main feed and got a noisy signal from it ,which sent us looking for another splitter that sends signal to the outside TV and the bed room.
Just got off the phone with Keystone tech support and they seem to think it maybe in the bedroom closet panel where the booster is located. Just doesn't make alot of sense to run all that coax to to rear and then back to the front. I'll check it out and see.

Well I just pulled the booster receptacle in the wardrobe closet and sure enough there was the white wire going to the nose and brown main feed ,plus the roof top antenna.
No loose connections.
Don't believe the antenna booster portion would play any part in it.

Not sure about a tailgater, but my DISH antennae is a Pathways II which has no separate power cord. It will not work thru the splitter thing in the newer Montanas. I don't think the splitter can figure out what to send OUT to the Pathways - it only figures out how to split things coming in.
I just made a connection in the side of the TV slide out and go direct to the receiver for the television.
Edit: Also I kind of traced the coax from the convenience area to the television. I think there is over 35 feet of coax ... conv. center all the way to the rear of trailer, then back forward to the television.

Thanks for your input guys.
Next stop is under the sink area and see if there's another splitter there for the patio TV

Best solution is to run dedicated cable (s) for your TV(s). Leave the current cables inplace for OTA and analog cable.

The coax cable in these things is the cheapest thing that they could buy from China by the containerload, the same with the coax connectors & the labor that assembles them isn't much better. the signal in our 3811MS is kind of spotty, even after upgrading the antenna, ditching the KeyTV box & putting new connectors on all of the cables. The next step will be to pull new cable wherever possible. We've got longer cable runs at home, but MUCH better signal on the same channels & without an amplified antenna.

In reading this I remembered that the screws that attach the booster, pic in post 5, were too long. One of the screws actually pierced the coax causing part of my grief.
Also, the coax for satellite is worthless. Advise direct wiring from outside of coach to satellite box. Search the forum for this subject and numerous fixes.

The splitters need to be from 5mz to 5000mz to work with spectrum, I had to replace all of mine.

Montana man your spot on about the screw length in these rigs is way over kill.
Dadshemi your also correct on the values of the splitters is a big deal.
Im still wondering if the antenna booster, even though it is not turned on,causes some kind of interference/noise in to the cable line.

Looking at the picture of the back of your booster plate. The white coax, as you said is tv out. The coax on the connector closest to your hand should be antenna in. The coax that’s buried behind the other 2 & the dc wires should be cable tv in. If there is a coax connector on the front of the plate, that would be tv out as well. Is that what you’re finding?

That's correct.
The chocolate brown is the supply into the 5er and the white carries the signal forward to to patio and nose TVs
Orange is the sat.line and gray the antenna.

So the brown is connected to the plate, behind the dc wires? And where is the orange connected to?

Going to also check the harness loom running out of wardrobe slide into rear cap and see what it has going on.

Brown is there .
Orange is fed to separate plate next to booster plate , for satelite feed.

Ok. That is all as it should be, then. Has the coax all been checked for continuity &/or shorts?

Yes
Technician used his signal scope to test the signal quality. First at the pole ,then at the feed into the convenience center.
All good at that point.
Then tested at line to modem in the nose and thats where we found a dirty enough signal to cause problems with the modem.
Then to the outside TV and had the same result.
Which led us to looking for the three way splitter. Still believe there is another splitter somewhere other than the wardrobe booster panel.

Many splitters will not pass the DC needed by the dish motors.
