bump in fiberglass

while our unit is at the dealers a major bump in the fiberglass was noted between the slides above the black tank flush, you can really push on it and it gives quite a bit, the dealer said this would have to repaired at a local approved body shop, we have the filon sides, has anybody ever had this done and were you satisfied with the repair.

We had to have it done on our first Montana, an '01 2880RL. We had three of those bubbles just over the shower. I'm convinced, and so is my current dealer, that the cause was caulking around the bottom of the shower wall on the outside wall of the Montana. That dealer caulked when I complained about it not being caulked. Our current dealer says do not caulk there for that reason.

Keystone covered it under warranty. I had the choice of going to a local repair shop (we didn't have one I'd trust) or taking it to one of two they recommend near the factory. I took it to one of those. They did a very nice job on it. I could see the repair when the light and my viewing angle were just so but otherwise it was not visible. They had to cut out a rectangle and patch in a new piece. They also had to apply decals and I could not see the seam on that. That Montana did not have the auto-finish shiny siding.
