New style vent covers
My bathroom vent cover had a crack in it. I finally got around to replacing it. Bring home a lid and look at it and it wouldn't fit as the lever arm mechanism on mine had a plastic piece that slid over a long T shaped plastic.
So back to dealer and got another. Service manager said it would fit. I told him about my lever thing and he said just break off the plastic and the remaining 'button' like thing left would fit in the lid bracket.
So I break of the plastic and dealer was right, it would fit. However, I hadn't looked at the hinge because I have replaced these 3-4 times in 15 years and they were all the same. Welllll.... not this time.
After much searching, I think I have a ventadome by ventline. The hinge is sort of like a C that hooks over some inverted C's. So back to dealer. They found a cover that could come in Tuesday, but naturally, since I broke the plastic thing, I also need the lever arm assembly! They couldn't find it quickly, but said they will call when the parts come in...
Has anyone else seen these strange vent covers with this hinge?
Sorry, I am just venting a bit (pun!). I live in an HOA and can only have my trailer for 2 days so now I have to pick it up again (or just try to fix it in the storage lot).

Tom,
I have two new Dometic Fantastic Fan vent covers. I ordered them last year off of Amazon. My component information from Montana states I had a Dometic vent fan. I have Maxxair vents. By the time I had the opportunity to install them and found out they were the incorrect covers, the seller refused to take them back even though they were never removed from the box.
So if you're interested PM me and we can discuss.
Best Regards,
