Cheap LED's
Just found these on EBAY
LEDs
Probably not enough light for living room but might work on those lights over the headboard.
3 bucks and free shipping and you get to experiment with LED's
It says 2x. I wonder if you get two for 3 dollars.

I ordered some a week or so ago and should get them by the end of this month. I'll let everyone know if they were worth the money.

They don't put out much light, but the price was right. I think I will stick with the WLED-xHP10-DAC (not cheap but they work good).

Hi John,
Well as usual if it sounds too good to be true......
So what is your take on the LED's? Are they useless or good enough for a reading light to replace those Halogen heat lamps in the bedroom?

We received ours from our mail drop, today. While they are white light, we think they are bright. Tonight will tell.

I like them, but the wife doesn't (says they are to harsh for her). I got the cool light ones, but I think my wife would have liked the warm ones better. Next time we are out I will take some pictures.
I got 10 of the cheep ones and three of them have one of the cells that flash on and off. I will use them is storage area, and use the Superbrightled going forward.

The ones we got off of Ebay are cool white and put out quite a bit of light. But, will use them for utility lighting as we prefer the warm white color.
For G4 and 1157 or 1156 equivalents, try this outfit. We ordered 12 of the G4 and he gave us a deal. The light output is 200 lumens and is, in our opinion, as bright as 20w halogen. Led Lights

Question, do these G4s just plug in the same way as the existing bulbs that are OEM with the Montana or are mods needed?

They plug in. Make sure you get non-polarized LEDs or you may have to reverse the wires to the fixture (not worth it!).
G4 is a style of pins. So, G4 halogen = G4 Xenon = G4 LED.

They will slide in above the contacts, the WELD fit like what is in there now.
