Door magnets

There are magnets on our new Monty to keep the basement storage access door open. The door going into the unit has nothing to keep it open like our previous trailer had. Hubby is thinking we should get magnets for this door.

Can you buy these magnets anywhere? Has anyone done this?

I believe the new Monty's have a friction hinge on the front door. That is supposed to keep the door from slamming shut when the wind is blowing. Can't say how long it will last before wearing out, but I have been trying to figure out a solution for this also. Mine also hit on a (bad design) clearance light, so I need something that will keep the door far enough away so it does not hit the light. As for the magnets, CW has them on sale. $11.42. Do search on CW for magnets.

I have the friction door and it works good BUT in higher winds not so much so I installed these a while ago and they work great just like my old Monty that had them and easy to install https://www.amazon.com/Pack-T-Style-...r+holder+latch

Those would work for me. Need the longer one because of the clearance light. Thanks!

The friction hinge does not hold the door open if the wind is blowing. I'm looking at the 'T' latch.
