Thumbs up Another way to cut down on heat

If you check the heat in your cabinets you'll probably be surprised, particularly if you are in full sun and check the ones facing south or west. Spent the last few days putting everything from bubble wrap to 11/2" foam depending on what we used the cabinet for and how much room I had. Seems to have helped us keep things down about 2 degrees in the whole trailer, but in the pantry food that shouldn't be really hot, now isn't. I should mention, we still cook for dinner and run things like the coffee pot so your degree drop may be better than ours, but it shouldn't be worse.

Great idea. I do notice that the inside of the cabinets are hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
Just when I thought i was done, another project to do.
