RV Refrigerator Drain
The drain hose for refrigerator came off during travel. Has anyone ever had to reinstall the drain line? This is an RV refrigerator not a residential. Limited access via exterior panels in rear of refrigerator. Not sure where it is draining to at the moment. Any ideas, appreciated.

Ours starts at the inside tray underneath the cooling fins inside the fridge, and goes to a drip tray outside behind the access panel.

Back of fridge flush against access panel. Dh thinks he might have to pull fridge out some from inside rv to allow access to reinstall hose. Don't know how fridge is secured to inside wall?

I think both norcold and dometic use the same design. The tray on the inside back wall have a plastic drain tube that is part of the tray. This pushes into tube which is seen on the outside back wall of the RV fridge. Pulling the RV fridge gives you no advantage, it weighs more than you can lift. If the tray inside the fridge has water in it that needs to drain, it will flow out the port on the outside back of the fridge.

I'm not sure what kind of fridge you have, but, as others have said, most are similar. Mine is a Norcold 2118. There is a catch tray inside, under the fins, with a hose going to an evaporation pan in the outside compartment. If you cannot find the hose inside the fridge, look outside. You may have to push it back through. If it is missing, it is nothing special, just a piece of plastic tubing. You will notice mine has a hose clamp on it; it also fell off. Taking the fridge out will not help you and you will hate yourself for doing it!
