New owners of a 2020 3931FB!

Hello!

We are Steve and Sami (34 and 36), baby Sawyer on the way, Odin the English Cream Golden Retriever, and Thor and Hunter the cool cats. We purchased a 2020 Montana 3931FB and love it so much, we moved into it full time even though we still have an apartment in New Orleans! haha. Our "home base" is a wooded remote 10 acres in Northern Idaho, outside of Bonners Ferry. Wont be moving there until next spring though (headed back to California to have the baby in January so wife's family can be a part of it). I work remote and Wife's job brought us to New Orleans for 7 months, bought the RV a couple months ago, been keeping it at Pontchartrain Landing in New Orleans which is a fantastic spot. We love it here!

Almost two years ago, we purchased a 2019 4x4 Mercedes Sprinter Van and I got about 3/4 done building it out into a camper van but then we decided to sell the house back in January, so it has been sitting up on our property in Idaho waiting to be finished, but other than that, no other RV'ing experience.

Going to be heading out to Gulf Shores Alabama for at least a couple weeks, then Siesta Key (Sarasota FL), then not exactly sure but somewhere up the east coast!

We converted the 5th wheel king pin to a Reese Goosebox 20k so the truck bed could be clear when not towing and that has been great. Tow rig is a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4, and I installed an Airlift Loadlifter 7500XL airbag system and it has been fantastic. Also installed a 60 gallon toolbox/diesel fuel tank combo in the bed for a total of 95 Gallons which has been a lifesaver for being able to wait for a bigger gas station! The 3931FB is the longest model of Montanas I think?

Ok this is long enough, now that you know our life story. Got a little carried away there

Looking forward to virtually meeting y'all and maybe even seeing you on the road someday!

Welcome to MOC and 3931FB ownership! We have a 3930FB and love it too. There is also a “Montana 3930fb/3931fb” Facebook group as well as Montana Owners Group on Facebook that give you even more info.
Congrats on the new one on the way!

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on the upcoming addition to the family and the new Montana. Lots of changes. If you an fit it in your schedule, The MOC National Rally is in Goshen, Indiana starting September 9th. Still spots open. A great way to meet other Montana owners, make lifelong friends and learn a ton about your Montana. Best of luck.
