Hello all!

Hi!

I just acquired my first RV, 2011 Keystone Montana. I know nothing about RV life, and am getting a bit of a crash course! I've been playing catch up with maintenance, and after a divorce I'm trying to learn it all and do it all myself. I have so many questions, but right now I'm most concerned with water flow.

I'm hooked in to city water, but there is no pressure in the coach. I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong (likely), or if something is wrong with the system. I also am unsure as to whether I need some sort of regulator. The coach will be stationary for the time being.

I'm not sure where else to post this, if there is a better place, please direct me there. I'm BRAND new to all of this.

I'm so happy to find this club! Thanks in advance to all of you!

Make sure you are not hooked to the black flush valve. Sometimes they are mislabeled and sometimes the connecting person is just confused. A pressure regulator is always recommended set for 45 to 60 pounds or get a cheap preset one I think they are usually 45 psi. The only time I had no pressure in the 5'er was when I had a supply hose that the inter liner collapsed under pressure.

I have just a regular hose hooked in while I'm troubleshooting and cleaning. I will get the right hose and flush, sanitize everything once Im ready to use it. Here is a pic of what I've got. Is this wrong?
I can fill the tank and use the pump but isnt it supposed to pressurize when hooked up? I'm so confused and the owners manual isnt very helpful.

All I can imagine is that there is a faulty check valve somewhere, but I'm still learning how the water system works.

Thanks!

It could be that the inlet you are hooked to is stuck shut not allowing water to flow. I would disconnect from that inlet and see if water flows from the water source through your filter first. Given it does then I would push the center of that inlet with something to make sure to moves freely. A bit of water may flow back out of it when you do this. Then I would hook up again and see if flow is happening. From the picture it looks like the selector switches are correctly set...water heater bypass off, winterize off, and flow normal on. Do you get water flow out of the external shower hose that you have hooked up in this picture? If you turn on the cold water low point drain, the blue pex in the bottom of your picture, does water flow out of there?

Yes I do have cold water out of both places while the tank is full. But I have to keep filling it or there is no water in trailer. I didn't check either outdoor with an empty tank, and of course I just filled it back up this morning.

Edit: there will be water while tank is full but as tank gets lower there is less and less pressure. So basically the city water is not pressurizing. It's as though a valve isnt open somewhere, but it does let me fill tank in the fill position.
