water manifold?
Has anyone decided to make and install a water manifold system like the uppser level rigs have with individual shutoffs? I only see upside to doing this and getting rid of the single half inch pex line that all the faucets are sourced off of. John

It would be way easier to just install inline shutoffs like Sharkbite ftgs under the sinks and at the stool.

First of all, are you talking a manifold in the convenient center? If that is the case there have been several of the members here that have done that and had shut offs for each individual water connection in there. There are even photos of their projects here somewhere.
If you are talking about individual shut offs at each faucet/sink and at the stool, I think DQDICK has done this and I'm sure he will be along shortly to verify it!

When I replace the toilet in our rig I put a shark bite shut off on the line. It was so easy to do I put them on all my lines except the bath tub. I have the valves for the tub, just haven't got around to putting them on. I don't know because I haven't priced the manifold but I bet they are cheaper then replacing the manifold.

Rondo is correct. I have shutoffs on all my sinks and the toilet. This summer I'll be taking a look at where the best place to put them on the shower and laundry lines will be.

A water manifold is a system whereby the water input is high flow and only goes to that device. Each water source in the rv or house has a separate shutoff valve and its own water line that is not shared by anything else. One side of a properly designed manifold has all the hot water lines and cold is on the other side. What is in my rv is a halh inch pex line that was tapped into for each oh the fixtures to make it convenient to build. The downside of doing so is poor water flow. Will try searching the archives to see what I find. Given how every model and even each unit within a model differs, no install is likely to have the same challenges...but at least I know others have done a manifold. John

I have often wondered why Keystone doesn't do this at the factory, in the compartment with the water pump. It looks like a
plumber's nightmare in there.

I did my search of the archives and found one member that did it on a sob. So, one of these days, I will get around to designing what I want and moving on to a project that should keep me off the streets... john
