SOB?

I see a bunch of postings about trailers using the term "SOB" what does it mean? I know what it usually means.

When I first joined the forum I was reading a ton of topics about everything. It drove me crazy trying to figure out what "SOB", "DW", and some other stuff meant. I was ready to ask some of my grandkids to figure it out since they use a language all their own when they text.

There is a link on the home page to abbreviations and acronyms, but it does not work any more. Here is a list I have.

DW Dear Wife (or dearest, darling, d@mn, darn, demented, etc. depending on mood)
DH Dear Husband (same as above)
DD Dear Daughter
DS Dear Son
BIL Brother in Law
SIL Sister in Law
FOSBIL Friend of Sister’s Brother in Law (just kidding)

SOB Some Other Brand
5er 5th Wheel Travel Trailer
TT Travel Trailer - bumper pull
TV Tow Vehicle
HTT Hybrid Travel Trailer
MH Motor Home
TAG Motor Home with a second (or tag along) rear axle
PUP Pop Up Trailer - often a tent type trailer but can also be a hardside
TC Truck Camper - a camper carried in the bed of a pickup
TOAD (or Towed) Towed Vehicle normally as in a vehicle towed behind a MH

CC Crew Cab
LB Long Bed
SB Short Bed
4x4 4 wheel drive
FX4 Ford’s nomenclature for 4 wheel drive
DA Duramax diesel engine with Allison transmission (Chevy and GMC)
PSD Power Stroke Diesel (Ford designation for their diesel)
CTD Cummins Turbo Diesel (Ram designation for their diesel)
HD Heavy Duty
SRW Single Rear Wheel
DRW Dual Rear Wheel, often called a dually
MDT Medium Duty Truck (a little misleading as it is larger than a F250/2500 or F350/3500 truck)
DP Motor Home with a diesel engine in the rear rather than the front

FHU Full Hookup site meaning the site has water, electric, and sewer. May have cable
WE Site with water and electric only
Dry Camping Camping without any hookups at all
Boondocking Typically camping off road in an undeveloped area, again with no hookups

NP National Park
SP State Park
COE Corp of Engineers park
RGV Rio Grande Valley (Texas)
KOA Kampgrounds of America
PA Passport America

IMHO In My Humble Opinion
IIRC If I Remember Correctly
