Level up question
Last week when setting up camp I was concerned about unhooking the trailer with only the landing jacks extended because of the excessive slope of my site. I was afraid the trailer would slide after I unhooked. I got out my BAL X clocks and locked the trailer wheels as I had with a previous trailer without the level up. I then auto leveled which took pretty much weight off the axles. With the Mor-Ryde Suspension the spacing between the tires got wider and the x, clocks basically fell out.
Has anyone else encountered this and how did you secure your trailer?

If indeed most of the weight is off the axles ... chocks would tend to be pretty ineffective no matter. I'd use some fashion of a wedge chock or big rocks when hooking back up ... upon further thought, I'd just find a more user friendly site.

Putting excessive lateral pressure on the level up legs can't be good for it. I agree with dieselguy... look for a better spot.

I put down the plastic chokes in back of the tires if it on a slope, after it is level I put them away.

Like Ron, I use chock blocks (or even pieces of firewood) to block the wheels until the rig is leveled. I leave them just to be sure I don't forget when it is time to leave. I would hate to retract the levelors and have the trailer slide away on me.
The BAL Chocks (and any other between the wheel type chock) are incompatible with the Level-Up system. Anyone want a set of BAL chocks cheap?

And the levels are not designed to keep the unit from moving. Excessive slope means bad site to me as well. If no choice, I would keep hitched to truck. Chocks are great and I use them, but I have also backed right over them more than once after forgetting to remove.

I have destroyed a chock or two. The Instruction with my chocks that go between the wheels says to remove them when leveling your unit or letting it down.

It's the job of my co-pilot to pull chocks. I have never had a problem running over chocks.

Thanks for the replies. The site was within the parameters of the level up system but had a back to front slope. Otherwise it was a perfect spot and I was anxious to see hw the system performed. It worked great although the front jacks were all but fully extended.
What about manually extending all 6 jacks to the ground and putting some weight on each one prior to unhooking. Of course after I purchase some wheel blocks I will also block to wheels. Then after unhooking initiate the auto level.

We have manually extended the jacks when hooked up to our TV and leveled. I don't think I would want to hit Auto-Level (unhooked from TV) as anything a software program can do, it can also do it with unexpected consequences. If you were to manually extend, then I would manually level so that you could control the jacks.
