Eglin Air Force Base

We will be in that area in June to visit our son and his wife. Looking for any Parks/cg's that can handle a large Monty.

Garin1, if I'm not mistaken that would be near Mary Esther, Florida and Ft. Walton Beach-- right?? There are many good camping possibilities between Pensacola and Ft. Walton. I can't give personal recommendations because we have always stayed at Ft. Pickens (Pensacola) or St. Andrews State Park (Panama City), but we have passed those campgrounds so I think you would have many good choices.

If you want to be near the great beaches, back toward Navarre, but there are others nearer to Eglin that look pretty good "on paper".

There is a "Military only" campground on the north side of the bay, just before the mid-bay bridge. Some of the sites are right on the water. I think it's named "Maxwell Gunter" or something like that.
