Splendide dryer problem?

I am trying out my new Splendide stackables for the first time right now and the washer seems fine. I'm not sure if the dryer is working properly, though. It runs for a few minutes then stops for a few seconds, then repeats: run, stop, run, stop.

Is this normal?

I think it is normal since I believe it changes rotation direction when it stops and restarts. Not sure if it is an anti-wrinkle feature or is because it is only 110V and it assists the drying process somehow. We just shut the cabinet door and ignore it. As long as the clothes are dry when it is done, we call it good!

I think I'm going to have to start paying you for all your tech support, lol!

Thank you again!

Yes, that's normal. If you don't want your clothes wrinkled to death take them out and hang them up a few mintues after the dry cycle starts.

So far I've done 1 1/2 loads and am very happy. It cleans as well as my front loaders at home and dries as well too. I've left the second load drying in the RV while we're out exploring. Hope I have an RV to come back to! It's my Husband's birthday today, and he did not want to wait for the dryer to finish before going out.

We have the combo unit and that's how it dries, too. Supposed to help prevent wrinkling is what we were told by a tech at Splendide.

Don't worry, wrinkles will be the worst thing you come home to.

Lol! Yes, it was all fine. If these machines keep working this well, I'll be very pleased! I had been concerned that perhaps I should have gotten the combo unit and saved half the cabinet for pantry space.

You made the correct choice with the stackables since it cuts the time by being able to wash and dry at the same time. Our first set (in the 3400 and the 3750) performed flawlessly on a daily basis when we were camping for over seven years. The only reason we got new ones in the current rig was for warranty purposes, particularly the extended warranty since it is a dealer installed item that is covered. DW has said for years that our Splendides perform equal to or better than our stick-house HE set.

Bingo, I'm with your wife on that. I have high-end HE machines in our S&B and I'm a laundry perfectionist. So far very happy with our choice!

I have the 2005 RL3400 Montana w/slendide w/d stack unit. I need to replace the heating element but can’t find a parts list. Anyone have help or advice? I bought my rig third hand and started not to keep the w/d as I have full set in storage, but I love this little set! Dryer’s just not drying anymore

Just curious...We are thinking of putting a Splendide stackable set in our 3791RD. We have Samsung HE set at home that the DW absolutely loves. Which models of Splendide washer and dryer did you get that your wife loves so much? Want to keep the DW as happy as possible.
