Spare tire mount

Just a heads up! If you have the spare tire mount from BAL that has the plastic & metal bolt that screws through into the welded nut. Y need to check and make sure it is not froze up in the bolt. be for you get stuck on the highway and can't get the spare out. I was was doing maintenance on our 5er before we start the rest of our travels and not had the spare out for some time and thought I would. the bold was rusted in place. I had to cut it off and re-drill the hole and replace the bolt. I put anti-size on before because it real hard to get out when we put the Sailuns on it.

I couldn't agree more. I just had mine off this past Saturday and had the same issue. The bolt was frozen in the nut on the bracket. I sprayed it with PB Blaster several times and was finally able to free it up after about 30 minutes.

BAL did a bad job on this design and Keystone should have stayed with the old crank-down spare like the 2013 models.

I want to do something different. I fear I will be stuck on the highway with a flat tire and can't get the spare off.
