Crown molding back lights?

Does anyone who has a Montana with the crown molding back light's used them? If you do I have 2 question's for ya all,

1) When do you turn them on? I.E.>> At night, for watching TV, Night light during the night, ECT...

2) What do you turn them on for? I.E.>> Mood, lighting, getting from point "A" to point "B" in the dark, ECT.....

We have turned our's on once I think and that was only to see what the extra switch was. I was on the Montana site and I heard today that they were put in at the request of us(The Owner's). Most requested Montana said.

Thank's again,

Charlie

Crown mold LEDs

Charlie - we use our crown mold lights every night and every morning! Love ‘em!
The light level is dim but not dark. Great for watching TV. i get up first to take the dogs out and first thing I do is wake up the In-command display and turn on the crown mold lights. I leave them on all day long. Love the light level.

Did I say we really like the crown mold lights?

Those are basically the only lights we use unless cooking or doing dishes.

Use them all the time. Better when your crown molding doesn’t fall down lol (yeah I fixed that too keystone).

They are typically the only lights we have on. We occasionally use other lights for specific tasks.

We use ours at night. They are a good source of indirect light.

We use ours all the time watching movies or tv. I use them in the morning before DW gets up.

I turn them on first thing in the morning when I get up and feed the cats and we turn them off when we go upstairs to bed at night.

I agree with Walt & Vicki. They are basically the only lights we use unless we are doing something that requires more light. Perfect during the night for taking out the dogs or moving around without killing yourself.

We like using ours but I wish we could turn off certain sections at a time. Maybe the undercounter lights on one circuit and the ceiling on another.

Now that I agree with. In ours, the under counter lights and indirect lighting over the dinette table are all on one. Would be great if I could separate them and only have under counter lights on.

It would be easy to install some small cutout switches at the individual light strings.
Only problem, not so easy.

When I got my 2012 Monty the plan was to install indirect multi colored led light strips thought out the camper. On top of the slide outs behind moldings, underneath the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom vanity, above the kick panels on the floor, etc. Basically anywhere I could hide them for ambient lighting. I purchased everything I needed but never got around to doing it. It is packed away on my camper. That was 6 years ago. But it's still on the list...

No need to make cutout and install switches. Just buy the 12V led light strips with the wireless remote on Amazon..You don't need a power supply because they are 12V. Only need the power supply/transformer if you are going to connect them to 120V.
