Water pump
Anyone happen to know where the water pump is located on a 353RL? Sounds like it is in the basement. Was hoping someone would know before I start pulling panels in the basement.

If you have a convenience center, where your water enters and some of your drain handles are located, there will be a white plastic panel on the side of it that you remove the screws from, and behind the wall is where the pump is located. The photo shows our pump on the floor below the maze of plumbing.

I remove the back wall of the storage bay. As mentioned above, it's behind the convenience center. Hint: Check all of the connections behind the convenience center.

Per tom, you really want to check those connections...should be tight by hand. I had several that could be easily tightened. And one that had a slow drip. John

Are you planning on replacing it or try to dampen the noise. If so, let us know and you will get some ideas from folks who've been there and done that.

I opened the panel covering the water pump (basement left side).
I cut up some left over rubber shelf liner (Walmart) folded up to 1/2" thick to make isolation bumpers.
Removed the pump mounting screws and installed the bumpers under each screw and the head of the pump (to keep it from vibrating against the floor). I also installed 1/2" foam pipe insulation on every pipe I could see or reach. I put insulation on every pipe that touched the frame or wal to stop reverberation. I slide pipe insulation on the shower pipes up the wall as far as they would go. I tested the pump noise, it was greatly reduced. I noticed the pipes mounted on the control panel inside wall were still reverberating noise up through the wall. I insulated them using more rubber shelf liner. Again a great reduction in pump noise. I closed up the wall and tested again from inside the RV. The pump now only has a slight hum.
If you want a quiet water pump get a

I did the same as above, trying to insulate the hoses from the walls, but it only helped a little.
So I got an accumulator and extra soft hose and installed them.
It got much quieter.
We can still hear the flojet, but, it is much better.
