Home again
back from 6 months at out Florida home. Wetter and warmer than the usual Florida winter but no snow, no ice, we are good.
Trip back was not smooth as our Interstate system is in really bad shape. I-95 S.C is horrible. About 900 of the 1200 miles were on bad roads.
Nothing broke on the Montana although it was beat to death. Dealer appointment May 4 to address what is already broke.
We had the lower front under hang done with Lin- X last year due to the severe chipping. One small chip on the trip back and forth. Good investment and most folks think it was OEM. It should have been.

It's always nice to get away...but it sure is nice to get home. According to what I've been reading, the bad roads are everywhere and are being blamed on the cold, nasty, snowy, icy winter.

Well one of these superhighways may have totaled my SOB. I-65 just south of Louisville hit one of the cracks in the cement slab and trailer actually went airborne. Come down on left side and bent all the running gear, busted 3 shackles out of 4 the went to the center link for springs on left side, including rolling the frame. I took it to Camping World which is less than 5 miles away and they said it was totaled. We are talking a 40' quad slide 16,000lb unit. Now dealing with the insurance which is Blue Sky.

Bad luck Dave but not a bit surprised. We had several bone jarring hits. We are going under the Montana to check everything out.

Hope you don't find what I did Rich...what a surprise it was. Lucky we even made it home as it showed no sign of damage that was obvious. Drove over 500 miles with the damage. Best I can figure it took the hit hard and started the process then the next 500 miles just kept beating it to death. Lucky we are is all I can say, and everyone around us.

We have the Mor Ryde IS suspension and we do not have most of what broke on your Montana. The MR Ryde IS is very sturdy. But we did take some very hard hits.
