Dining Room Slide Issue

Have a 2018 MHC 330 RL. Dining room slide has a screw or bolt or something tearing the underside of the slide every time we expand and retract the slide. Dealer stated they fixed it, still happening. Now it is also starting on the other side of the same slide. Has anyone experienced this phenomena and if so what was the cause and fix? Hoping the entire slide will not have to be taken out to be repaired.

Something is obviously not right. Once the darco fabric covering is torn, I know of no way to repair it. I would do some investigating myself from the outside and inside with the slide part way out to see if I could see what it causing the damage. I saw a 4 slide unit camped across from us years ago and all 4 slide bottoms were completely destroyed.

I had the same thing happen on my kitchen slide while on a long trip.

Turns out that a screw popped up from the floor of the slide opening, either stripped or unscrewed itself. So, with the slide a little more than halfway extended, I jacked the slide up at both ends until the roof of the slide touched the top of the slide opening.

It didn't give enough room to try to screw it back down, so I used a sawz-all to cut it off at floor level. I figured that if it wasn't screwed down anyway, it wouldn't hurt if it was just chopped off. Been fine ever since.

Might not be the "correct" way to fix it, but it was a whole lot easier than pulling the slide completely out for one screw.
