Bird poop on truck

For the last few days a Robin has decided to perch on the front of my truck and poop all over it. It goes from the top of the hood down the front to the bumper. It looks like it is looking for a place to get in and build a nest.
Any suggestions on how to stop this? All suggestions, humorous and otherwise will be appreciated.

Same on mine. He is not nesting but seeing his reflection in the chrome bumper and is trying to mate with it. Was using the picture window until the leaves got too thick on the Japanese Maple and obstructed his view. He is persistent.

Taking the great grandkids to the zoo today. Maybe I can find a rubber snake at the souvenir shop.

Throw a tarp over the front. Even if the bird still poops after it can't see it'self anymore, it's still not hitting the truck

Well, I took the truck to the body shop to have deer collision repairs. So I guess you could say I moved his girlfriend. When he was attacking our window I hung some streamers in the tree that seemed to dissuade him.

In our old marina a lot of folks used the fake plastic owls to help keep birds from using their boats as toilets.

On many buildings they glue spikes on the ledges to keep the birds off
I can think of a number of things the spikes could also be good for

Had the same problem, my mother-in-law told me to put plastic shopping bags around the mirrors. I tried it .......it worked. Kept the birds away from the truck and van.

Had the same problem with robins. When I covered the chrome on the front of the truck, he moved to the mirrors, I covered the mirrors he went one by one to the tinted windows on the Montana. Would flutter against the window for hours & pop away. & I would cut strips of black trash bags & tape them to the top of the window so they would move in the wind, didn't work. It only happens every other year for some reason, but they won't quit. As stated above I think it's a mating thing, & I guess it's the males. You can see the breast get puffy n& bright red.

He is looking at the reflection in the paint and chrome and thinks its a rival. I had the same problem last spring but i covered the truck with a cheap bed sheet from big-lots and held it in place with bungee cords until he found someone else's truck to be inspired about.

Haven't seen him for a few days. The tarp worked, I thought, until I took it off and found poop on the bumper. Rubber snake helped a little. Maybe he found a mate more to his liking than my truck. It's finally raining hard enough to wash away the white stuff. Sorry I did not respond to all the suggestions but somehow I unsubscribed from the post.
